Chinese writing for non-Chinese speakers
Elementary Chinese writing (30 hours)
Objectives
This course is designed for students learning Chinese as a second language and will provide some background knowledge of how Chinese characters are formed.
Training results
Students will be able to:
- identify basic characteristics of the standard modern Chinese language
- be able to write 70 most frequently used charactes
- gain essential knowledge about reading and writing.
Intermediate Chinese writing (30 hours)
Objectives
To move students toward mastery of Chinese writing skills through extensive practice and reading.
Training results
Students will be able to:
- identify the characteristics and functions of different kinds of common practical Chinese writing, and the differences between formats
- short paragraphs are used at this stage to help you form sentences. 70 new characters will be introduced.
Advanced Chinese writing (30 hours)
Objectives
To further develop student's ability to use the Chinese language and to understand the variables pertinent to language communication.
Training results
Students will be able to:
- 90 new characters are introduced. You will be able to read longer paragraphs
- communicate effectively in modern Chinese and select appropriate reference material to meet different needs.
Chinese writing for Chinese speaking professionals
Reading and writing simplified Chinese characters (30 hours)
This course is intended for
Individuals who can read and write the traditional Chinese characters.
Objectives
To read books who can read and write Chinese.
Commercial writing (30 hours)
This course is intended for
Individuals who can read and write Chinese.
Objectives
To write business correspondence, proposals, presentations, speech, announcement, application, recommendation, reports, etc.
Duration and Fees
- Students come with similar level of Chinese language knowledge
- Regular time schedule and location
- Meeting friends to build up connection network
Duration: 30 hours/module
Students: 4 - 6 persons
Tuition: HK$3,600/person + material fee HK$150/person
